Join us for the second in a 4 part series of tastings from around the 'New World'.
Part 1 - Australia & NZ
Part 2 - South America
Part 3 - North America
Part 4 - South Africa
In Part 2 we will take a vinous tour around the major wine producing countries of South America.
Join us to taste wines from Chile and Argentina
We will start off with one of Chile's best Sauvignon Blancs, from the desert region of Limari. Hot sunny days and cold nights result in a ripe and flavourome Sauvignon that retains its freshness beautifully.
We will contrast this with the wonderfully aromatic Argentinean Torrontes grape from the world's highest vineyard region of Calchaqui.
For reds we will compare the two countries U.S.Ps - an Argentinean Malbec from the Uco Valley, a premium sub-region of Mendoza, next to a 70yr old vine Chilean Carmenere from Cachapoal Valley.
A tasting not to be missed - (even if you can't make Friday we can forward you on the recording!)
